The Tuscobia State Trail is a 74-mile long abandoned railroad grade and runs through the 4-counties of Barron, Washburn, Sawyer & Price. The trail hosts a mix of history and changing scenery as well as a variety of activities. Depending on the season, you can ATV, snowmobile, hike, bike, horseback ride and do bird watching. Communities along the trail provide fishing, canoeing, kayaking & camping. The Golden Spike Medallion Hunt offers the opportunity to explore this beautiful trail and the communities that it connects.
Clues for the medallion hunt will be posted on http://www.fwsp.org/tuscobia/ as well as area newspapers and businesses along the trail each Friday until the golden spike is found. This will be a great way to learn the history, folklore & geography of the area!
