Hey photographers!

Do you love taking cool pictures while exploring the outdoors? Enter the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks Annual Photo Contest!

We’re looking for amazing images that capture the beauty, adventure, and fun of Wisconsin’s state parks, forests, trails, and recreation areas—any season, any time. Whether you’re hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, or relaxing with friends or family, we want to see your best shots.

Winning photos will be featured in the 2026 FWSP Calendar!

Who Can Enter

• Open to amateur photographers age 14+
• Professional photographers and FWSP board members or DNR employees are not eligible to win

Photo Requirements

• Photos must be in landscape (wide) format
• All photos you submit must be taken in a Wisconsin state park, state forest, recreation area, or on a Wisconsin trail. In other words, your pictures have to be shot somewhere that is officially managed as a Wisconsin state park, forest, recreation area, or trail, not just anywhere in Wisconsin.
• Submit in high resolution, electronically.
• No faces or identifiable people in the photo
• Photos must be original and unaltered (standard edits like cropping and lighting are OK)
• Watermarks must be subtle; a clean version must be available if selected

How to Enter

• Submit your photos online via this online form
• Limit: 4 photos per person. Preferably one for each season.
• No entry fee

Judging & Winners

FWSP board members will review entries. Winners will be notified in September 2025. The calendar is planned for release in December 2025.
